How the fees work
Worldpay offers two ways to take online payments. Worldpay eCommerce charges from 1.3% + 20p on UK personal Visa and Mastercard with no monthly fee, while the Simplicity Payment Gateway is a flat 1.5% with a monthly gateway fee of around 19.95 pounds (often discounted for the first six months).
Business, commercial and international cards cost more, typically up to about 2.9% + 20p. High-volume merchants can negotiate custom rates from 0.75% + 4.5p. As with its card machines, watch for contract terms and mid-contract price changes.
