How the fees work
Revolut Business offers online card acceptance from around 1% + 20p on UK cards, which is cheaper per transaction than Stripe or PayPal. The trade-off is a required Business plan: Basic is 10 pounds a month, with Grow and Scale (30 and 90 pounds) offering lower rates, larger free-transfer allowances and better FX.
FX is competitive at roughly 0.6% above the interbank rate, versus around 2% at Stripe, so Revolut is attractive for businesses taking a lot of multi-currency payments. Because of the monthly fee, it pays off above a few thousand pounds of monthly card volume.
