How the fees work
Big Cartel does not take a percentage of your sales. Its free Gold plan supports a small number of products at no cost, and paid plans (around 12 to 24 USD a month) add more listings and features. Payments run through your own Stripe or PayPal account at their standard rates, so processing is your only per-sale cost.
Because the platform charges no commission, total cost is just the plan fee plus processing, which makes Big Cartel cheap for low-volume creators. The more small transactions you take, the more the fixed per-transaction processing fee matters.
