How the fees work
EKM bundles hosting, the store builder and UK-based support into a monthly subscription rather than taking a cut of each sale. Card payments are handled by an integrated provider such as Stripe or PayPal at their standard rates (around 1.4% + 20p for UK cards via Stripe), so the calculator models that processing cost plus the EKM subscription.
EKM has restructured its plans over the past couple of years towards larger, all-inclusive packages (entry plans historically around 34.99 pounds + VAT a month, with premium managed plans costing several hundred pounds), so confirm the current plan price and turnover limit for your store directly with EKM.
