Selling through an e-commerce platform usually means two costs: a monthly plan and a card processing rate. This calculator estimates the processing side using typical UK online rates.

How the fees work
Online (card-not-present) processing is priced slightly higher than in-person because the fraud risk is greater. On a typical UK platform you will pay around 1.4% to 1.5% plus 20p to 30p per UK card transaction, with non-UK cards costing more.
If your platform forces you to use a third-party gateway instead of its own payments, you may pay an extra transaction fee on top of the processing rate. Always check whether the headline plan price already includes payment processing.
