How the fees work
Viva.com (formerly Viva Wallet) is a European cloud-based neobank whose Viva Terminal iOS app turns an iPhone into a contactless terminal. It charges 1.69% per tap-on-phone transaction (with a 10p minimum) on domestic consumer cards from Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Diners Club, including Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.
It is less well known in the UK than Square or SumUp but is a credible flat-rate option. Funds are held in a Viva business account, and lower processing rates can be available on paid plans.
