Vinted: UK 2026 Pricing & Fee Calculator
Vinted is free for private sellers: no commission, no listing fee and no payment processing fee. You keep the full price you list. The buyer pays a separate Buyer Protection fee at checkout.
What Vinted charges

| Buyer Protection (paid by buyer) | About 5% + 70p |
How the fees work
On a standard Vinted account, sellers pay nothing: there is no commission, no listing fee, no final value fee and no payment processing fee. If you list an item for 20 pounds and it sells, 20 pounds lands in your Vinted balance. That is why the calculator shows a 0% effective seller cost.
The cost falls on the buyer instead. Vinted adds a Buyer Protection fee at checkout, roughly 5% of the item price plus about 70p (it varies, broadly 3% to 8% plus a 30p to 80p fixed amount), which covers refunds, secure payment and dispute support. Buyers also pay postage.
Optional paid extras for sellers (such as Bump listings for visibility) exist but are never required. Note that since 2024, platforms like Vinted report seller earnings to HMRC above certain thresholds, so keep records if you sell regularly.
