Squarespace uses Stripe, PayPal or Square to take payments. On a commerce plan it adds no transaction fee of its own, so you pay the processor's rate of about 2.9% + 20p plus a plan from about 17 pounds a month.

How the fees work
Squarespace does not have its own payment processor; you connect Stripe, PayPal or Square. On a commerce plan it charges no transaction fee, so your per-sale cost is the processor's rate of around 2.9% + 20p. On the cheaper plans Squarespace adds a 3% fee on top, which is why sellers upgrade. The calculator includes the entry commerce plan (around 17 pounds a month billed annually) plus the processing rate.
Squarespace is strong on design and content for small brands, but it does not support multi-currency selling, so it suits UK businesses selling mainly to UK customers.
